And since the OP didn't limit this to the GE, I'll be voting straight Repub in local elections for the first time. Dallas County has become a haven for petty crimes such as shoplifting, theft and harassment. Our activist DA as well as county judges initiated the bright idea of hatching the policy of not bringing any charges to any criminal that steals or shoplifts less than $500 worth of stuff

The end result is a group of people that think it's ok to break laws. It's pretty much created a criminal environment

Thus, the surrounding counties have seen an increase of local population gain. It's pretty much as if Dallas county wants to run off Republicans as well as Democrats that want the most basic rules of law to apply
