This is neither level headed nor a coherent analysis. And also, where does it come from. It was obviously copied and pasted from elsewhere without a single word of attribution. You would think the owner of the site would know that’s a no no.

I counted "3" actual political posts on the main board lately.

All posted by the owner of this site. One actually seemed to interfere with the conversation going forward.

Hey if you own something, you should do what you want. It's yours. There are actually no inherent "no nos" when it comes to that. I have already said this with regard to private businesses, in general, if they don't want maskless people in their store, then they don't have to let them in. Conversely if you want to disallow masks on your private property, that is okay too. (unless there is a higher executive order or mandate by your governor, even then they will have trouble enforcing.)

The posting of political stuff and borderline political stuff in the main board Just sets a bad example when you make rules for the members, then break them yourself.

Thanks. I'm not above censoring myself if I've crossed the line somewhere.

Also, your reply really has nothing to do with the original post in this thread...so if you're going to act as board cop, then doctor, heal thyself first.

I've reviewed my last week's worth of posts on the main board and haven't found anything like you describe.

Are we talking further back?

I like how you've kinda derailed this thread already...sweet.

The U.S. is an out of control pressure cooker. Lots of pseudo victims with perceived axes to grind.

My view of these feeble attempts to post by Mostpost and you to the core of both arguments fall into the following. Middle of the road does not mean not liberal or not conservative. That being said I thought Mikes post was middle of the road, middle of the road CAN be NOT what someone wants to see but viewed by most people as fairly accurate. Over the years I have seen Mike get tired and give a pass just because he gets sick of it, but when you get political with a software author he will burn your house down, then wait for more stupidity to ban you. I suggest that you continue to complain and poke the bear so he stops placating you people, you really do not deserve the leg up.

Getting banned from a forum is not the end of the world, but when you start inserting hyperbolic phrases into that sentence, it's quite another thing.

What are you suggesting? Do I need to protect myself in some way in order to post here?

"burn your house down" doesn't sound like something one says to another person for simply stating an opinion.

Another goofy post by you, in no way was I making inferences and you know it. I did suggest historically where the man goes into full apeshit mode. And I will add he always asks knock it off first. If you want to protect yourself, don't ignore that.

I have no idea why you are speaking for him.

I said I noticed some political stuff "creeping in" to the main board, and the posts I remember were his, and he has already generously offered to look into it.

I just do't have time right now to search out the main one that caught my eye.

Your idea that I should somehow be "skeered" to post an opionion here or even tell a board owner that I thought perhaps he may have broken one of his own rules would be lost on you, because youre a lock-stepper.

you'd be the last person to stand up to Trump even if he insulted your wife directly. I'm not you. Remember that. Nor do I want to be.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual and that's okay. There are people here who, while I disagree with their polltics, I'd still invite them to lunch and we would get along great. You are not in that category. Your posts seem particularly illogical most of the time, I picked up on that quite some time ago, and I doubt you'd be available for lunch anyway, since you strike me as a shutin who sits at the monitor anonymoously writing stuff like you just did to me.

It can't be that one...must be something else...

Where would it have been appropriate to post this, w/out being accused of "derailing" the thread?

It may have been more than a week ago. The word "Democrats" was in the post.......to me, that makes it a poltiical post, and it WAS on the main board.

I will look later

Let’s discuss the content. It’s not martial law if you have to wear a mask. There are no troops in the streets, although that is what you want. Small businesses are closing because our idiot president has failed miserably in addressing the pandemic. Although he did a wonderful job making sure his billionaire buddies didn’t suffer.

States have been conducting Mail In Voting for years with no problems. The only possible problems I see now are those manufactured by Republicans.

Anonymously my ass, your post is bogus. I get out every single day, I did not wear a mask until stores and the city made it a mandate. I do not know what it is like to shut in so I reject how the country and officials overstep peoples liberty's. Although I did profile you, I have not posted it. So what you seem like means shit to me other than how I respond. So you posted to Mike BFD, because it is organic round here.

Correct. Trump’s use of Martial Law was not about wearing masks. It was about clearing the streets of peaceful protesters so he could do a photo op in front of a church.

Yes, I know Trump has not declared Martial Law......YET.

What is your phone number and email?

Of course I don’t expect you to answer those questions, but if you don’t you are posting anonymously. We all are.

You talk about the most inconsequential things threatening your liberty, but in reality, you are a prisoner of your own beliefs.

There are Trump haters and those that don't hate Trump or possibly anyone else. That would be me.
Without naming anyone, there are a few members here that have to be the most miserable unhappy people I've ever run across. I'm just glad I don't know you personally. You're maybe the last person I ever want to meet.
As for the thread and November. Liberals have already pretty much destroyed public morale and faith in the justice system. Regardless who the next president is, it likely won't matter much. "War" will only get worse regardless. Trump could deploy troops in an emergency (we're past that), congress need not be a factor, but the result would be massive bloodshed. The outcome might not be any better in saving the nation.
Imo, its all revolves around hate. Its the most destructive emotion of any. If it weren't for hate, we wouldn't be where we've come to.

In 2016, over 350,000 mail in votes were disallowed in 2016, out of 40 million. In 2020 primaries, over 658,000 were disallowed.

You lie when you say no problems.
