Syndicated shows with the highest ratings get the biggest dollars. They don’t pick their advertisers per se. if you are willing to pay those higher rates you get on the air.

Now they share ad time with the locals, and the locals choose. But if you are willing to pay, you get airtime. Radio is cut throat locally and National shows often don’t even need a sales staff.
