I hope this wasn't premature! Good news for the Bush camp for sure!

You want concrete evidence this isn't a mirage?

CBS called it for Bush as well. ;)

it won't mean crap without Ohio...............

I would have to say, my vote counted today.................

I know several people who didn't get to vote because the lines were still 3 blocks long at 7:30p...........

Yep, it all boils down to Ohio. It's looking like 51% Bush, 48% Kerry with 79% reporting. Several other states are very, very close.

Fox just called Ohio for Bush---:D :D :D :D :D

Lockhart was on CBS a few minutes ago, saying that the Cleveland vote was coming in late and that the huge Kerry edge there would him over the top.

Sorry, Joe. It's Cincinnati that's slow, and it's not the Dem bulwark that Cleveland is.

Bush opened up a 120,000+ lead fairly early and it has persisted for over an hour. I think he's got it.

I'm not sure who has it. All I want is to NOT wake up to headlines of "2004 Election Too Close to Call," is that too much to ask?

cj

Then don't go to bed until it is called! :D

Here's the problem...87% of Ohio in, Bush is up by 101,000 votes.. If he wins, they say there are 200,000 provisional votes....

How many Kerry lawyers are sharpening their pencils as we speak??

Fox has Bush at 269 now, a win for Bush as even a tie is enough due to the make up of the House.

They've had that 269 up for a while now, and they keep mentioning Litigation

Bush has pretty much got New Mexico in the bag, so he'll win the majority from the Electoral College.

They can talk all they want about the provisional ballots in Ohio, but his lead there is 125,000 votes. It's over.

Bush appears to be way ahead in the popular vote as well, which will certainly be a plus in his column this time.

AND it looks like Bush is going to pull Iowa for good measure..

RXB

He might also pull out Nevada and/or Wisconsin.

Kerry's campaign manager just says "There are still 250,000 votes left and when they are counted, John Kerry will win Ohio"

Do they know something we don't??

I'm looking at the results, and I don't understand. The outstanding votes seem to be predominantly from the Cincinnati area, not from Cleveland.

It was based on that fact that Fox projected Bush.

Fox analysis was that with Cinn. votes left to come in, it was not expected that Kerry would make a charge at the end i.e. the present margins (at that time) would hold, hence a Bush victory.

I know; I posted that fact a long time ago. When I said "I don't understand" I meant that I didn't understand why the Dems were optimistic.

They were claiming it was Clev. votes pending.

CNN just wussed out.. They just projected Ohio as a 'green state' - too close to call.. After 93% of the vote in..

What a joke

"They were claiming it was Clev. votes pending."

I know. Read my very first post in this thread.

I guess it's like hoping your horse still has a chance, even though you know in your heart that he's not going to get there. Unless they really do know something that we don't. I can't see it.

Oh Christ...

NOW they are saying due to a broken machine and fatigue, they are not going to know the results of Ohio until tomorrow...

Did Michael Moore's fat ass just roll into Ohio??

cj

That was Iowa that is "fatigued," not Ohio.

Oh my, now the owner of the Red Sox is flying Kerry's lawyers into Ohio and Iowa..

They are really testing my loyalty now.

Apparently it is.

You gotta be kidding me.
