Beyer did give out the $45 winner in the Sprint last year. I wish he wrote more for the Post. Agree with him or not, if you're a racing fan you HAD to read his columns.

It was a mutual "retirement". The Post in a cost cutting measure didn't give Andy the complete heave-ho and he was tired of the grind, so only the occassional column these days.

If anyone was there, Beyer addressed a certain Andrew_C about a ton of questions regarding Abbondanza, and the big amount of questions received regarding him. In Beyer's response, he said...

"I understand we've received a ton of questions on Abbondanza. Is there some mass hysteria going around?"

I'm Andrew_C, and I sent all 20 questions. :D :) ;) :p

Hey Andrew C., the odds maker put your Abbondanza at 50/1. This seems way out of line. I could see like 15/1, but the longest shot on the board? No way. He might be a nice key in the lower part of exotics.
