I have been playing the major tracks for a long time, Santa Anita, Hollywood, Del Mar, Belmont, etc. and found that by and large the number of races on a given day is usually between 8 and 10.

The other day, 10/23/04, I looked at the CRC card and was surprised to see that there were 15 races.

Is this usual, or unusual?

Are there many tracks that consistently offer up more than, say, 10 thoroughbred races, and which are they?

Thanks.

CT is running 12/day mostly with 10 entries and very few scratches.
Ohio 7&7 runs 14 but it is split between 2 tracks, now BEU/TDN.
HOO runs as much as 13 on weekends. That's about all I can think of.

The CRC day was a "festival day". their normal week looks like 9-10-13-11-9 races on Thur thru Mon.
