Since the large majority of the posters on this site are men, I thought maybe you could weigh in on a subject my buddies and I were arguing about the other night. What are the best guy films of all time? These are films that some women may like, but almost every guy has seen and loved. These are the movies guys will sit through although they've seen it a hundred times. Movies you quote from. Here is my current top 5 (it changes from time to time as I see a great movie I'd almost forgotten about), in no particular order

1. The Dirty Dozen

2. Magnificent 7

3. Godfather (original)

4. Goodfellas

5. Rio Bravo

How do you get off answering this one? Didn't you used to be a girl? Make up your mind, will you?

Fail Safe (http://www.destgulch.com/movies/fsafe/) I certainly know the "girl" you probably mean... have periodically collaborated with her dad for many years, with her since the 90s... and practically full-time since July.

In my opinion, "V" has probably forgotten more about Thoroughbreds than either you or I know (even combined), and very likely more about virtually everything... although her so-called photographic memory has been both a blessing and a curse in her relationships.

I think you don't want to deal with her... probably too feisty for your tastes when she thinks she's right... often takes intemperate remarks personally... would probably seek to ridicule you ad nausem.

"V" actually alerted me to your post... but I see no point in following her "clever" suggestion for responding to you.

I tend to be more direct... you seem addicted to sniffing at other posters' pant legs (e.g., Derek), so why don't you post your favorite "all guy" movies?

Tough decisions because I love movies so,
GODFATHER & GOODFELLAS & ALIEN (pt1) .... is my best pick
KILL BILL (1 & 2) considered a "Guy Flick" ? ....
ps: Equineer ... JR isn't the only "hombre" on here that dreams
of smelling my pants. (Or however you phrased it)

Equineer:
I have no problem with your list except for the last one. No guy would admit to another, watching, much less loving, Remains Of The Day

No guy would admit to another, watching, much less loving, Remains Of The Day It's a borderline candidate as a mainstream favorites release, but history/theater buffs love it because it is not a stereotypical study of English values on the eve of WW-II. When it was released, it received a bundle of Oscar nominations.

Life of Brian is another great film that may not be considered mainstream by everyone... my all-time favorite comedy!

I'm surprised I'm the only one who has mentioned Rocky. I don't care who you are, if you're flipping channels and come across any movie, 1 thru 4, and you see a training montage, you put the remote down, and you watch the fight. That's just the way those movies were meant to be.

Conan the Barbarian...

"Conan! What is best in life?"

"To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women"

..ahhh, before the dark times, before the Empire.
