And some folks on here actually believe the media is more biased in favor of Republicans and Bush.....LOL

Dan Rather and CBS, and now ABC....hmmmm....wait a minute!!! Maybe the CBS memogate, and now this ABC memo is actually a Karl Rove thing!!!?? Maybe there IS a bias favoring Bush and this is all just disinformation designed to make the networks LOOK BIASED in favor of Kerry, thus actually HELPING Bush!!!!

Yeah, that's the ticket!

"It's up to Kerry to defend himself, of course. But as one of the few news organizations with the skill and strength to help voters evaluate what the candidates are saying to serve the public in- terest, now is the time for all of us to step up and do that right."

This right here is grounds to take away all press credential by all ABC employees. This is NOT a jornalistic corporation, it is a political ine and they have no right to call themselves jornalist nor do they have any right to protections of a free press anymore.

PA, Drudge broke this story last night.

This story nicely confirms what I've been saying all along about Liberals, though, doesn't it? They think of themselves as being the Elitest of the Elite. They are the End Alls and Be All. They are God's Gift to the Dumb M[asses]. They are the Cat's Meow. They are the All-Knowing Know-it-Alls, who out of their er....."compassion and pity" for the M[asses] feel compelled to educate us lowly and hopelessly confused, befuddled, bewildered peons as to what all the political rhetoric, claims and counter-claims really mean and to indoctrinate and inculcate into us the correct interpretation of the "facts" (facts as the Liberal Media see them, of course). We peons just don't have what it takes to sort it all out by ourselves.

But aside from the Liberal Media's "incomprehensible" arrogance and condescending attitude toward the general public, we must not let our righteous and justified anger cause us to miss the central thrust of this report which is this admission:

"Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win." In contrast, he wrote, "the current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done"

Kerry's lies and inconsistencies are even obvious to ABC...so evident that the network foregos making any attempt to spin (lie about) this irrefutable fact. Nor does Halperin attempt to make any feeble excuses (as Hcap has done recently) to the effect that "all politicians lie or must lie" in order to win, blah, blah, blah. Instead, Halperin, finds justification for Kerry's distortions, mistakes, lies, inconsistencies, etc. out of his personal interpretation of the facts, which is....these innocuos little blunders aren't "central to his efforts to win". What we peons are supposed to infer from this, then, is that Bush's blunders by contrast are pernicious and dagnerous because his ulterior motive is far, far from noble due to his unabashedly selfish ambitions to win the election.

But doesn't all this seriously beg the question? Didn't Halperin make a serious omission in his memo to his staff? The question I would dearly love to present to this bonehead is: WHY has Kerry lied, distorted and misled the public!? Now that we "know with certainity" why Bush has done these things, what makes Halperin think that we wouldn't also like to know why Kerry has!?

It hasn't been a good election year for the Elite Televised Media. First CBS, now ABC. And of course, NBC (not to be outdone) had Jennings last week defend his buddy Rather's collosal blunder (or more appropriately...miscalculation!).

Now, PA, don't expect to hear from too many Libs on this latest Memogate. To their way of twisted thinking, Haperin was merely instructing his staff to present the viewing public with fair and balanced reporting. Since this is indeed the case, they we're left to rely upon our own speculations for viable answers to the question I posed earlier -- which essentially was: Why does Kerry lie, misrepresent, mislead distort, etc.?

1. Kerry is merely joking around when he does this in an attempt to portray himself as more human and spontaneous. (But if this is the case, do we really want a Joker in the WH during wartime?)

2. Kerry's prostate cancer has had an adverse effect upon his brain and perhaps the surgeons should have moved that knife further north on his bod to get it all. (But if this is the case, do we really want a Mentally Incompetent calling the shots for the next four years during wartime?)

3. Kerry is genuinely senile and like Hillary Clinton, when questioned about the White Water scandal, just can't remember because his mind is perpetually in a blender. (In which case, do we really want a Senile commander-in-chief during wartime?)

4. Since the mainstream elite media are essentially covering up Kerry's moral shortcomings, is it because they know that he is the most sinister and treasonous person to want to hold office since Clinton sold us out to Red Chinese? (But if this is the case, how can we trust a traitor during wartime, especially when we already know how he sold out his fellow U.S. combatants and POWs after he was out of the Navy?)

I'll stop here to allow for others to speculate. (Sure do wish, though, that ABC would tell us the reason(s) behind Kerry's lies.)

How can you disagree with the Elite Media's take on the motives here? Granted, they didn't bother to give a motive for Kerry's lies, only one for Bush's, but still... I mean the clear implication is that Kerry's motives compared to Bush's are lily white and pure as the driven snow .
