Was reading the article on CNN about the Afghan election.. Came across this paragraph:

But the damage had already been done: Rumors about the ink used to color the thumb prints of voters to avoid fraud spread as thousands of Afghans, including severla hundred women, waited in line to vote.


"....severla hundred women"

Maybe I'm anal, but how can CNN allow an article on a major world even with spelling errors?

Maybe I'm anal, but how can CNN allow an article on a major world even with spelling errors? A major world even? I'm surprised they write any articles at all about "world evens with spelling errors" -- a specialized topic if there ever was one.

Only difference is that I do not write for, or get paid to publish news to the world..

I guess since Dan Rather, the integrity of news organizations is not as important to some as it was..

I'll be darned. I thought I'd made up that word. Turns out 'prefect', per Webster, is a high official or magistrate. Another def. is a student monitor.
