The brand new AmericaTAB Handicapping Open debuts this Saturday, Oct. 9. This is a new, pay-to-play handicapping tournament exclusively for wagering account members. Seven mandatory contest races will be posted by Friday at Noon ET, from which players make mythical $2 win/place wagers on each race. It is a real-time betting contest but we highly recommend that players put in their selections early and then go back and modify them, if necessary.
The entry fee is only $25 and players can buy up to a maximum of three tickets. Each week 60-percent of the prize pool (made up of the entry fees) is distributed as cash prizes. The remaining 40-percent will carryover to the AmericaTAB Handicapping Open Finals in 2005 (date to be determined). The top 5 players from each week qualify for the AmericaTAB Handicapping Open Finals.
