Chenny took the boy to the woodshed. he just proved that facts overcome BS any day. If Bush had been half as prepared as Chenney, he would have looked much better. Chenney has an inner comfort wtih the facts that you can feel - call it that warm fuzzy feeling. Chenney was one of my main reasons for voting for Bush in 2000 - I was voting for the TEAM, an idea Chenney reiterated tonight. He has re-written the role of the vice president - a role Edwards is so obvioulsy unsuited to fill.
I was really amused that, with al the press and all the internet chat, Little Johnny still used the 200 million dollar figure tonight - whe it is only around 120 million.
I especially enjoyed the side comment Chenney made, something like..."You probably don't know thism sicne you weren't there for the vote, but.,..."
A tip of the crown to MR. Chenney...the clear winner tonight, on fact, style, and substance.

Cheney definitely was clearly the most composed of the 4 key figures..

The fact that they agreed to sit down during the debate was a key.. He looks very comfortable and composed that way..

Edwards didn't make many disastrous comments, but it just looked like a kid out there trying to debate his wise father.

Cheney has been around the block....he played his cards perfectly...Edwards, all things considered, held up pretty well given his handicaps.

Tonight Cheney pulled W up a notch or 2 on the chart thank goodness. He beotch slapped Edwards a coupla times that just left the Breck Girl looking "hurt".

Example..Cheney ran Edwards into the ground for Edwards' lackluster senate record. Cheney spoke of himself presiding over weekly Tuesday Senate meetings, yet the first time he met Edwards was tonite.

"OUCH".

Then he noted Edwards hometown paper calls Edwards "Senator Gone" for his lack of attendance at senate meetings.

"OUCH".

If you don't approve of BUSH/ CHENEY, the kerry/ edwards ticket hardly inspires. Their senate records simply suck.

Yeah, it was a good line. Too bad it was a lie

Edwards escorted Elizabeth Dole when she was sworn in as North Carolina's other senator on January 8, 2003, according to Gannet News Service. Cheney administered the oath.

Cheney also was present with Edwards at a National Prayer Breakfast on Feb. 1, 2001, when a transcript shows Cheney acknowledged Edwards among those at the gathering:

Cheney: (Feb. 1, 2001): Thank you. Thank you very much. Congressman Watts, Senator Edwards, friends from across America and distinguished visitors to our country from all over the world, Lynne and I are honored to be with you all this morning.

Cheney's good with lines, not so good with facts

Knowing someone's name and that they are present and actually meeting them are two different things.

excellent point. In fact you would think that being introduced to the "Vice Pres" might be something a Senator would seek out? wouldn't you? At least in your first term?

If the remark had been made the other way and the facts didn't prove out, you'd have been all over Edwards. Truth is Cheney rarely lets the facts get in the way.

I love when the Dems get treated like bitches, then they turn to the 'well he's a liar' card..

Betcha, this is politics, buddy, most of them are liars.. Have you been following anything ever?

Check any fact finding site on last night's debate, Edwards lied on at least 6 different facts..

Ann Coulter was on Good Morning America yesterday. Charlie Gibson was challenging her on a few things from her book - "How to Talk to a Liberal - If you must."

Anyway, she said one of the funniest political lines I ever heard - "Nothing good ever came from a sentance that started with 'My good friend Ted Kennedy.'"

Now, that's funny.

I would think that, before getting noteriety from running in the primaries, Edwards is probably a person some one would either just avoid being around, or having been intorduced, would quickly forget. :D

This is a state by state issue unless the federal court is involved. Neither the Demos nor Repuiblicans have any right to violate the constitution by passing laws that are not legal.
Quote the US constitution "All rights not granted to Congress are reserved to the respective states".
this is 1 reason I usually vote 3rd party.
My state, Ca, should pass a law to require screening of suits and also to require lawyers to be board certified for certain types of law. Now any lawyer can falsely claim to be an expert at any kind of case they choose without knowing anything about it.
