Purse money question

In the Vagrancy today 3% of the purse money was to be split between those finishing 6th or worse. The race had only 5 runners. So, what happens to the 3%? Thanks in advance.

According to Equibase chart the race value goes down to $194,000 so guess the 6k from the remaining 3% goes back in NYRA's pocket

It doesn't go into NYRA's pocket. You guys are too funny. The notions of what "NYRA" is to some people is really absurd. You act like NYRA is the Blob from that old movie, just usurping whatever is in "its" path....like NYRA is some gigantic evil ogre.

It goes back into the purse account...which, and honestly this is not exactly esoteric stuff, has to be distributed, you got it, in the purses.

You know what NYRA actually is? It's a company that is doing its best to continue to keep a lot of tricky moving parts moving forward on a daily basis.
