What did you all think of his first foal Tessarina today? Ward usually has his firsters ready. The horse looked well mannered like Ward's horses do. Seemed to settle all right on the lead. Slow first quarter of 23.4. And was sucking air at the eighth pole in a 4½ race. Winner was green as grass and ran her down. The second place finisher made up 7 lengths on her to go by.



I hope Lady Delaware does better when she starts.

His first runner won in Ireland the other day. Monarch of Egypt; there was an earlier thread.

Maven just won at Aqueduct in a time that cheap claimers run at Charlestown and was sucking air by the end of the 4 and a half. Looks like AP will be like any other sire: good ones and bad ones.
