Not sure, but BOSTON was shut down for a week. Kerry has selective memory. Beside, the subway is NYC territory, NOT federal.

Yes and no. All lines were running, but the major hub at Penn Station had almost all entrances closed. So the statement is an exaggeration, but not entirely untrue. Frankly, I doubt either of these guys would know what a subway was and would scoff at actually taking one.

I know what a subway is and I would scoff at taking one..

Been on the 'T' once in Boston.. Nice for getting loaded and not having to drive home, but the people on it, sheesh..

They can really suck, but us po' folk who can't afford to live in Manhattan (ie I don't make a six figure salary) kinda need them. About 35 min each way each and every day.

Well I live in Delaware and have only seen a subway on a visit to Boston..

I guess I've been fortunate to never have taken a public bus either.. I'll stick with my truck.

When I first came to NY about 13 years or so ago (my how the time flies) making the crack "That and a buck will get you a ride on the subway" sounded so good. Now its two, but the unlimited ride cards do bring that down a bit. The service and the cleanliness has definitely improved over that time, so only rarely do I have a real complaint about it.

Some of the protesters before the election put out stuff about disrupting the subways and throwing marbles under the horses hoofs of the police. If there was any shutdn it was because of lib terorists and not the bin ladin kind.

Uh...I really don't think so. The fact that the trains run under the Garden and that trains were targeted in Spain may have had just a little more to do with it

So what was Lurch's, er, Kerry's point?

Thursday night's debate was a decisive victory for John Kerry because America saw him as our next president. He showed strength, conviction, and *********a steady command of the facts.
_________
I guess Kerry believes it was closed. He had a few inaccurate statements last night, and the "I was mistaken about the $87 billion vote" statement was a new flip-flop, 3rd different story.
