They normally run 9 races on Sunday. This week it is 8 and there are 49 (if I counted correctly) entries. There are 5 entrants in 5 of the 8 races. This is the fewest that have ever seen at a major track. Maybe if they run 8K claimers and $16K maidens there would be more.
