No matchup between the last two winners for sure now. The idea of Azeri running against the boys in the Classic instead of running the Distaff is a bit over agressive too I think. Would like to see her win a BC race to finish her career (of course not guaranteed in the Distaff) rather than get hammered by the big boys.

I think its worth a shot to try against the boys. He was wrong to try a one turn mile, but a two turn route isn't a bad idea. I don't think she has much chance, but its better than the ZERO chance she had in the Met.

The connections have nothing to lose. She already has a Distaff on her resume, and she's already been Horse of the Year. I don't think another Top Handicap Mare title will add much to her resume, but two time HOY certainly would. Hell, she may win Top Handicap Mare anyway.
