I got home late last night and did not open any mail. While having coffee this morning, I started going through the mail and there it is. I received a Christmas Card signed by some of the staff at Amwager. That shows some class and customer appreciation. :jump:

And all I got from Twinspires is a rock....but I guess they did give us a new cumbersome main website interface.

Unfortunately I live in a state that Amwager does not accept for account wagering.

Also, we are actively working to expand the states we accept. As soon as that changes I'll let everyone know.

TwinSpires has handed all competing ADW's a gift, my feeling is people will leave in droves once they remove express and classic platforms!

are they....One of the hottest trends in tech now is working with human/technology interfacing. It's known as UX which stands for User eXperience. My good friend is a UX principal with 15+ years doing this. His level of knowledge makes him very much in demand when it comes to UX design. Essentially what a UXA does is make interface design decisions of behalf of the users. In other words, what will make things easier for the user when it comes to navigating a web page, using an phone app, changing the radio station in a car, etc.

When it comes to interface design choices the problem is twofold: one, most companies don't have a UX team or even one UXA. and two, even when UXAs make suggestions based on what the users tell them they often get ignored. Why you ask? Because developers (web and/or application) want to do things the easy/quick way, project managers need the job done yesterday and under budget, accountants see paying for UX as an expense not as anything that contributes positively to the bottom line, and upper-level managers like to do things the old way.

My friend has worked for some big companies, Sears and Grainger to name two. He earns a lot of money for his expertise. (To wit, the headhunter company got a $30K fee for his Grainger hire.) He told me stories about meetings at which he told the team what the needed improvements were and many times his suggestions were ignored. So they are paying him really good coin and then ignoring his expert advice. He just shrugs and collects his paycheck.

That is probably what is going on at TwinSpires, no one is listening. And things will not likely get better until customers leave in droves for other ADWs.

The problem with Twinspires is that they hire tech geeks who have never wagered on a race! I HATE THE THE CHANGES THEY HAVE FORCED ON US AND I AM SURE THE "COLLEGE STUDENTS" they hired to "IMPROVE" their wagering platform have never used an ADW to make a wager in their lifetime!

The historical trend of treating the racing fan like SH** continues. Now I know why I wager less and less and go to the track less and less.
