You had me looking back at Cat Thief. Classic placed (third in the Kentucky Derby), won the Breeders' Cup Classic (although he beat nothing), and both second dams (Terlingua and Track Robbery) were Eclipse Award winners. It looks as if he was a total disaster as a sire in the United States, but is apparently still active and standing in Saudi Arabia.

He also developed a bit of a reputation as a broodmare sire:
