Good Fight. I like that no one broke it up. Except the kick to the head in proximity to things that could hurt a man badly when head/neck involved. Other than that , I think letting two guys work it out this way is not always a bad thing.
Both tough guys who got and gave. The last two shots (over hand rights) by the Jockey in white landed nicely. Kid in Blue loses based upon my scoring system

1. Kick to the head. Bad move. That's only a war-time move.

2.Throwing a punch after the cop arrived. That's weak and not good. Immediate disqualifying.

There was a similar fight between two jockeys at the now-defunct Green Mountain Race Track in 1976. It made the local paper, the North Adams Transcript.

This commentary would be fine if the sport was boxing and the guys were trained boxers. This is supposed to be racing and the guys playing this macho game were jockeys.
Fights are never a good thing nor a good way to "work things out". That's why we have law enforcement. I'm sure the police would be delighted for people to work out their problems with violence (sarcasm).
A lot of people are very naive as to the kind of brain damage that an unpadded fist can cause. This is not a Hollywood western where people come out of brawls in the saloon with nothing more than a bloody nose. Jockeys already expose their bodies to enough injury in riding without adding this tough guy bullshit.

Fights between jockeys have been taking place for as long as I can remember (over 60 years) at various tracks.

These men live in a world where calling the Police is fatal to them and people they care about.

They have to learn that this behavior is not acceptable in this country or suffer the consequences. Otherwise this country will become just as violent. In this case police intervention may have saved one of them from serious injury. They will learn that the authorities are there to protect them. If we call ourselves civilized we cannot allow people to settle differences this way. The track authorities are dealing with this, as they should. It is wrong to call this a good thing and describe it like some fun sporting event. What's next, selling tickets to the fight?

Some of these thugs are native born Americans, what'a their excuse?

But that's not the case. People pushing their passive aggressive BS oftentimes deserve to get the hell beat out of them. That's just fact. Mosquitos get swatted, envelope pushers get their asses kicked. Sounds harsh, but it's the only way to get some people to act civil. Shouldn't be necessary but it is.

You're not picking this up. They have learned.

In other news:

Violence in a civilized society is never warranted or acceptable.

Compared to what goes on in the streets , that was downright civilized

I'm picking this up all too well. They're going to have to re-learn or they're going to have to earn their living in sick places, whether here or elsewhere, where such savage behavior is tolerated.

I just hope, for your sake, that you never get into an argument with someone who has this same point of view and justifies beating the crap out of you.

You don't get it. You don't fight people who have different views, far from it. That's why we have civil discussions. It's part of being human.

There are those incapable of doing so and they cross the line. Over and over again. Those who go to the extreme deserve a beat down. Simple as that.

Gee, those guys were each lucky they weren't fighting an American jockey. American jockies, you see, were ALL state wrestling champs...right down to the very last man. Just ask them. In fact, if I EVER meet a caucasian jock who does NOT claim to have been a great wrestler, I am going to take him to dinner, wash and wax his car, and then give him money.
