Where are the spinners?

They are every where, on both side of the aisle. Presidents generally get a lot more blame for bad economic news than they deserve or are responsible for, and they get (and claim) a lot more credit for the good news than they deserve or are responsible for.

Yes...the presidents claim a lot of the credit when the economy soars...but they distance themselves from the inevitable declines.

I did not say "Yes...the presidents claim a lot of the credit when the economy soars...but they distance themselves from the inevitable declines.", or anything like that. There is some truth in that, but I'd prefer to speak for myself, thank you.

I suspect Thask meant to reply to you, but was inadvertently in moderator mode. Of course, I do not know if that is possible, but it seems the most logical explanation.

I would hazard that you are likely correct that his reply got jumbled with the original post. Stuff happens. Thask is a stand up guy to me, so will attribute this to a glitch.

My "opinion" on tariffs is that they are tax increases on American consumers. Neither you nor any other Trumpster have even attempted to refute that fact.

During the 2016 campaign, a Trump spokesman stated that his proposed tariffs would increase the cost of living for the average American by 10-15%. This is a fact that I have posted here a number of times, and no Trumpster has ever responded to.

It was an unfortunate mistake. I was browsing while on my phone without my reading glasses...and I inadvertently pressed the "edit" button instead of the "quote" button when trying to respond to your post. I did the same to a boxcar post a while back...and it created a lot of needless confusion. This "edit" button that the moderators here have is in the same spot where the "quote" button used to be on my screen, and I mistakenly press it sometimes, when I hasten to respond. I promise to be more careful in the future.

You may never see a better economy in your lifetime.......

In 6 1/2 years you need a budget surplus,(3 years running) 4.1 % average growth for that time period, 22 million jobs created and the Dow at 62987 to see the best economy in our lifetime.Which was accomplished in the Clinton Administration.(The Dow number is the 227% increase that happened in Bubba's 8 years applied to The Donald's beginning Dow number.)

You MAY see that. The holding of breath is not recommended.

Trump 6,000 point rise in 2 years.

Pretty good point.

Yup, all that "winning" only cost about 1 and a half trillion. About 800 billion this year alone.....:lol::lol:

And people pointing out the 35% gain, that can disappear in a matter of days. Then it will be the blues again and whoever is president will cry on TV, plenty of finger pointing but people get bonuses and run.....its hilarious . Every one knows the president is only responsible for the good times......those bail outs ??? You see, that's the Banks fault....

I can understand the govt. doing it during bad times.....but now its a permanent deal. This should of been curbed years ago.

I guess we can print money and win forever.....yay...yay! This is what we teach kids now too, credit debt and college loans for everyone....free money.....:bang::bang::bang: The Govt., at this point can never make up for 21 trillion so why should anyone care? Who knows what the future interest will cost?!? Like the economy can keep this up forever......

Numb Nuts! I got my Economics degree from Cracker Jacks....
