Castellano killed him, Frankel was mad as as hell. The fact that St Liam could stay with Ghostzapper, also shocked Frankel. No BC Classic for Zipper Chippy anymore is my guess.

So, what was Castellano supposed to do? Surrender?

Races don't always end up being as easy as people would like sometimes .. that's why they run these things .. because sometimes the favorite actually gets tested .. and believe it or not .. sometimes they actually lose!

was thrilling to be in the grandstand watching the great duel today.

funny side story. My 5 yr old daughter chloe was with me and had the binocs. I let her use them to encourage her to get interested in watching races.
Except she was watching everything BUT the race and I didn't have the heart ot take them away from her. So I'm watching this great duel in the upper reaches of the Belmont grandstand near the finish line and my daughter is looking around at the birds, the trees, the people int he grandstand....

LOL!!!

The fact that it was a great race softened the blow of hitting the P4 and actually losing money on the ticket. Had 3 deep in 3 races and 2 deep in the other for $54 on $1 ticket. Had St Liam edged him out the ticket would have been good for $500 instead of $47. And the tri and exacta I won on the race would have been a heck of a lot nicer too. Hit my first ever P4 and still only end up even on the day (well, maybe a few brews ahead) but I guess its better than losing
