Cruz is -$260 to get re-elected

He lost a ton of Trump voters during the Prez Campaign.

He also has been considered anti establishment, so he lost the establishment Texans, the Cornyn crowd. That makes it tough.

I think he will win, but I hope he loses and becomes Attorney General.

I find it hard to believe he's going to lose, but if he does, it suggests the democrat's political strategy of wide open borders is slowly turning Texas blue and another major state will be on the fast track to economic doom.

Money is flowing into Texas and Florida.

The second one isn't so shocking but the first one is...

Ted Cruz should be able to hold his seat because undecideds always break to the incumbent and the Republican in Texas. Its amazing the resources that Senate race is requiring to keep R.

The amount of money being tossed into these two states though is going to be incredible as the GOP is raising the white flag in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and now Minnesota.

Ted Cruz is leading at this point in every poll.

Trump is going to Texas to support him in October.

Game over.

In one of the primaries, someone from Cruz's campaign said that Ben Carson had dropped out when he hadn't, yet. I believe it was tweeted. The fact is, a news organization (CNN?) had already announced that Carson had dropped out before the tweet. That was the big "lie".

In the words of Lee Corso, ...Not so fast, my friend!

Last night , republicans picked up a south Texas state senate seat that has been democratic since the civil war. The democrat state senator that vacated was sent to prison for eleven felony convictions. The repub won the special election, defeating a dem that had nearly 100% name recognition and raised a LOT more money than the republican that pulled the upset.

The dem party here is fractured, maybe worse than the DNC was two years ago. Read the Dallas Morning News article today about it. A state dem leader is quoted saying the party is like crabs in a bucket.

All the talk about a Texas blue wave is nonsense. The tide is out. As far as Cruz goes, he needs to be consistent and get the vote out. Do that, he wins.

Yes. As I recall Carson left the field. Made some excuse about going back to his home state to do laundry. Then some campaign staffer said Carson had quit but it wasn't Cruz who said it.

I need something that Cruz himself lied about or I can't use the "lying Ted" thing. This girl is too sharp.

Austin is a strong democrat stronghold. It's been especially so since the late 80s when the mass exodus from California began to Austin.

Like most, I don't put up signs in my yard. Republican signs in Texas tend to get egged along with damage to property. Regardless of location, you'll see few Cruz, Abbott, or Trump signs.

My wife is the one and only person I know with a subscription, and she's voting straight republican this time (on this, she and I agree given the Kav fiasco). Even the people who actually pay for the DMN ignore the endorsements, be it liberal or conservative

He's very unlikable. I posted earlier about his image on the screen at a sports bar during a cowboy game drew LOUD boos. No words spoken on the commercial (that we've all seen before), the mere image of him drew boos.

He's clinging to the hope of Cornyn's seat whe he retires. Good luck with all that. Beto comes with a lot of baggage.

Re read post 35, second paragraph..The entire paragraph. Move your lips if ya have to, but read the entire paragraph.

This is the problem with people that fwd someone else's tweets. You assume they have (local or deep) knowledge of a given subject. In this case they clearly don't

And as pointed out, the DMN endorsed Clinton. She was blown out of the water here. The endorsement meant nothing... Unless you live for other's tweets.

Texas Voters Complaining That Machines Keep Changing Their Senate Vote
https://www.alternet.org/election-03918/texas-voting-machines-changing-senate-vote

On Friday, the Houston Chronicle reported that several voters in Texas were having technical difficulties with ballots on their electronic voting machines.

Specificially, when some voters tried to use the "straight-ticket" party option, which allows them to automatically fill in every partisan office with the Democratic or Republican candidate, they reported that not all of their votes were tallied correctly. In particular, some Democrats complained that when they looked over their ballot, they noticed that the spot for U.S. Senate was either blank, or had selected Sen. Ted Cruz instead of El Paso Rep. Beto O'Rourke:

Several Democratic voters, for example, have complained the voting system indicated they were about to cast a vote for Cruz, a Republican, instead of Democrat O’Rourke as they prepared to cast their votes. Several people said they were able to get help from staff at the polling place and change their votes back to what they intended before finalizing their ballots.

Looked at RCP, the liberal based Texas Trubune's latest poll has Cruz up by six. Cruz has 51percent at the moment. No path for Beta to get to 50 percent. As the DMN reported, and everyone here knows, Indy's at this point are a non factor. People have their choice locked in

Voter fraud is Beta's only hope. It's real, but it's his only hope. When I read about the "harvesters" and saw the money pouring in I agreed with the people that thought the fix was in. May not work but they're trying here.

Eventually Texas turns blue. Certainly not now but ten or fifteen years down the road it will most likely.
