If Pace agrees,i would be volunteer to keep stats about a contest which would acts within the following rules during the Belmont autumm's meeting.

-Belmont track only
-$30 bankroll.
-$2 maximum bet to win only on one single horse.
-10 players maximum.

Emile,
would this be a $30.00 TOTAL bank for the meet. In other words just 15 spot play win bets for the whole meet?

Yes.Do you know a smart horse-player who can loose14 straith bets in a row?

I don`t profess to be smart, but I certainly am capable of losing fourteen in a row. And so is everyone else I`m sure, including you Emile.

According to Meadows "Secrets", a proven 33% player will have normal losing streaks stretching to 18 in a row over many hundreds of races. Theoretically, the best player in the contest could have zero wins. The best player in Hold em Poker tournaments may play above his compitition but in the end still must have a few "hands" to finish in first place.

Why 10 Players Max? That's kinda restrictive. As far as losses
in a row, since I've been playing, NY tracks only, I've never had
a losing streak greater than 5 races. In a typical 9 race card, I bet
maybe 6 of the them.

I'm in.

But why limit it to the first ten? Alot of players who might be interested (20-30) is my guess, won't see this thread until tomorrow. If it's to cut down on the math, how hard can adding up $2 win bets be?

But why only 10 players - why not 50??

I'd also be willing to play, but I echo the refrain: Why only 10?

My guess is that it makes it easier for Emile to keep score???

Emile,

If you want this contest to happen, just post a new thread in the SELECTIONS forum under the title of your choice. You haven't earned Moderater status yet. This is the only way.

Again, why just 10? How hard can adding up $2 win bets be?

Sorry folks,
I am just back at home since yesterday.I had a pick-up accident while i was delivering sheeps(i am a sheep breeder).I was hit by a Nissan Altima on my left side then by a Sierra 1500 pick-up in my back.I came out of hospital 2 weeks ago but i was held out of my home till yesterday.Everything is ok. now.
I would have liked to drive this contest which,as i see, drove some interest.
I will try to launch a new one with the Aqueduct meeting.
