Excerpt:

The Del Mar jockey colony will take to the microphone first, performing at the Belly Up Tavern, at 143 S. Cedros Ave., Solana Beach, Calif.) on Sunday, July 29. Saratoga's jockeys will then try to outdo their west coast competitors Monday, July 30 at Vapor Night Club, inside the Saratoga Casino and Raceway in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.). A panel of celebrity judges at each venue will determine the best performance. The winning performances will then be posted on the PDJF's Facebook page and the public allowed to vote for its favorite via a poll. The winning jockey colony as determined by that poll will be awarded a trophy and bragging rights.

I knew that east coast bias would rear it's ugly head in this thread. :pound::lol:

East.

Aside from the talent on stage, and some is questionable. It's worth the price of admission just to hear Pletcher's one liners. Fantastic, drop dead wit. The man is hilarious, funny as can be with such ease.

Would be much better if they had Perry Martin emcee the West Coast rather than Mike Joyce...Perry is hilarious and the King of super-dry humor....:)

Thank you Andy for sharing the videos. I love the enthusiasm. And hey, it takes guts to ride so they got the guts to get up on the stage and have some silly fun for a very good cause.

Loved Joe T, he really went for it. What was up with that idiot dropping the F bomb when Bejarano was giving it his all? Stevens and Smith were fun, but wish they'd picked a more lively song, LOL. Wish there was a video of Stevens singing Born to be Wild.

Over all, the east coast jocks were better. Mostly because their wives joined them and joined in the fun and lifting it up for fundraising. And Shea L, wow! Iggy and Michelle on the west coast were really great! West coast jocks wives should join in more! Obviously it's fun as they sure had a great time and did a great job.

Hope okay to post here, wasnt sure where to put this:

Jockey Marlon St. Julien, 46, was involved in a serious spill at Prairie Meadows back on May 19th. He underwent spinal surgery in an attempt to keep the pressure of his discs off his spinal cord. As you can imagine, Marlon has a long road of recovery ahead of him and could probably use some help with his medical and other expenses. Last update I read was that he had a few setbacks during part of his recovery in rehab (pneumonia which required the insertion of a tracheostomy tube) and his rehab aws still ongoing. My heart goes out to him. I found this go fund me for him, if you want to send something:
