I wish him the best. He was here in Chicago for a number of years where he was especially strong on grass (I mean the kind horses race on)

He was the king of Arlington before anyone knew who Rene Douglas was. I seem to recall he retired once before, but it had something to do w/a divorce settlement.

But we've heard this song and dance about "getting the life back together" before. I'm not rooting against him, but I won't be shocked if he goes the way of PVal, Antley and numerous other riders who's careers have been cut short by drugs.

On the other hand, Pat Day also had his abuse problems. He found religion. Maybe Garrett will find something to keep him going
