Red Sox since July 24: 24-9
Yankees since August 15: 6-8

Will the Yankees fade like Lion Heart in the Saratoga stretch?

Sox trade Nomar on August 1... Interesting coincidence..

I'm not a fan of either team so there's no bias here. But it's happening. You can see this fade coming. And 22-0? Disgraceful.

I have to admit, I was smiling last night seeing the 'Empire' treated like bitches..

(PA sure has been quiet about this the past few weeks :-)

What's to say? The Red Sox have been beating up on inferior competition, and the Yankees have been playing slightly better than .500 ball.....

It's pretty simple really.

Still in first, still 2nd best record in the league, etc....

I knew there would be some form of lessening what the Sox are doing... You're supposed to beat the bad teams.. (You know, like the Blue Jays and Indians??)

I thought you were looking for my take on things....oh well....

Nope, just noticed that when the Yankees are getting their brains beat in you and CJ are mighty quiet.. When they are winning, you seem to spring up with new threads on the AL East..

Just funny, thats all..

Yeah, whatever. I started one thread (I believe it was in June) in response to your early April proclamation that the Yanks were dead and the Red Sox rule.

You're the dude starting all the threads designed to push people's buttons....mostly, I don't bite.

I just did a search. TWO.

That is the number of threads I have started about baseball ALL SEASON. One was on 6/29, the other on 8/11

TWO.

What's your record SQ?

I have some guys at work that are exactly the same as you.. Confident when they win and quiet and cranky when they realize their series dreams are not looking good.

I think the proclomation was pretty solid..

I just hope the Yankees don't keep this up too much longer or they will find themselves in a fight for the WC :-)

So, you don't want to reveal your record, eh?

And I'm still oh so VERY confident in the Yankees, as tonight's game brought things back into the norm....

Brought things back into the norm? They finally get a well pitched game from a starter and their bullpen comes in and lets the Indians right back into the game..

If you are confident in them, I don't think you have been watching the past 2 months..

How many new threads do you pop up with when the Yankees are doing poorly, as opposed to when they are playing well? Just curious to know what contrasts my TWO threads that I've started.....

I put one new thread up - the one about the Yankees losing 22-0.. Please point out any other Yankee bashing threads I started.

If you want to keep your record under wraps, that's fine with me. Anyone can find out by just doing a search in the off topic forum with your user name. That's how I figured out my count...

Here's your direct quote, once again, in case you forgot:

When they are winning, you seem to spring up with new threads on the AL East..

And my answer to you was I "sprung up" TWO threads since the season started, one in June, and one TWO MONTHS later.....LOL

Silly discussion, isn't it?

You asked me how many threads I pop up when the Yankees are losing.. I said 1, and it pertained to 1 game..

So, what exactly are you talking about?

One eh? Ok then.

If you say so. I have a hard time believing you....

Like I said, silly.

Well if you are going to call me a liar, it's pointless to answer.. And yes, it would be silly at that point.

I didn't call you a liar....I said I had a hard time believing what you say....big difference.

If I get a few spare minutes, I'll do the research myself to satisfy my curiosity.

You do that..

In the meantime, I am going to count the tiles on the ceiling here at work..
