I think we will see 11 or 12 horses in the Belmont. What's yall take?

Should be one heck of a competitive race with Justify not even running in the money...

Also hopping Audible does not run, cause the owners of Justify own or have partial stake in Audible... This would lead me to believe two scenarios... 1.) Audible rider tries to run him in 2nd or 2.) Could see Audible offset the rabbits

I'm actually more excited about the Belmont Stakes than I was for Derby. Can't wait!

Funny stuff if you even think audible or quip would even be entered. And Justify off the board? It’s going to be a great race to watch!

Remember that there are eight monies in the Belmont now.

Winstar will keep out Audible - or any other horse they can control.

It's a breeder/owner controlled game. Always remember that.

My Boy Jack supposedly is out of the Belmont and run in the Belmont Derby instead.

Are some of you guys actually serious with some of these posts? I can't tell.

It's not just Winstar. All the biggest outfits have their horses on steroids.
Before or after they go to the trainer.

Anyone remember what happened to Godolphin a few years ago?

English Customs agents searching a private plane coming from the Middle East found tons of drugs, legal and illegal, on the plane.
Godolphin had to fire a bunch of people to make it look like they didn't know anything about it. Changed trainers and everything.

It goes on here too. They just don't get caught. Somehow.

Think Justify got to be 1200 pounds of muscle by just doing exercise?
Suddenly appears on the scene as an unbeatable three-year-old.
It will probably catch up to him at some point, like Arrogate.

Free Drop Billy today confirmed to be running for Romans.

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but, think we'll get 10 to 12.

Which is a tremendous underlay. You should get at least 25-1.

I meant 10 -12 horses in the Belmont Stakes, not odds on FDB.

Agree, Free Drop Billy should be long. Maybe 30-1 or higher.

Do 'I' think Baffert trains his horses without massive drug use?:D

I'm thinking the answer to your own question above is a resounding NO.

He's far from alone, though.

But, I stopped caring a long time ago and just figure it's part of the game.

Use it in your figuring.
People that are turned off by it can just quit betting.
Many have.
I'm still around.

Another way to look at it is that the best trainers will not keep marginal horses in the barn. Horses that aren't solid in the races with the best purses get put in cheaper claimers and a promising two year old will take his stall. Perhaps Baffert first that profile.

Except that you can't "handicap" drugs.

Which is why Hong Kong is getting a lot of wagering dollars from people who got tired of trying.

Sure you can. We all know who's using. Just look at the stats.

Belmont looks like it's at 10 horses. That's what I heard on ATR this morning.

The chemists are way ahead of the testers.

Same as it is in every other sport.
