Picks for Del Mar Sunday:
R1 #4 Classy Fella-Timely claim by good barn. Drop not really a cause for concern, probably wasn’t that many spots to run him in. Threw a few nice drills in since the claim.
R2 #3 Worksformoney-Barn good with comebackers. Had excuses for two poor efforts before the layup. AM drills have been solid.
R3 #4 First Draft-Makes second start for superior barn. Had no chance to close last time when they were moving late. Gets Nakatani today, a positive sign.
R4 #2 Precis-Stretches out for barn that does well with this move. Showed good early speed last time before fading against odds on winner. Looking for a send job by Flores here.
R5 #9 Kissin Ty-Steps up into a field without a lot of early lick. Chased a fast pace last time to win easy. Pace situation looks more favorable today.
R9 #5 Deputy Doc Renzi-Won’t be much of a price, but I like him anyway. An easy second last time out for good barn. See no reason why he won’t graduate today.
