Thanks for pointing that out. The rule of thumb of never going inside one horse or outside two might help to spot horses who got a bad trip. I've always thought Russell Baze was a great jockey and was surprised he didn't do better when he tried Southern California. His win percentage with favorites must be phenomenal. Unfortunately for horseplayers, his reputation and the short fields in Northern California races make many of them unplayable these days.
