I am working on a modification to my software to deal with shippers and
require a source of reliable track-to-track pars. Are there any other than
Gordon Pine? With regard to Gordon Pines's pars, I have seen references
to the 'electronic version' but I am at sea where this is available. All
sites that I have found where the 'book' is available make no reference
to the 'electronic' version. My e-mails go unanswered. Are there users
of Gordon Pines's pars on this board who can give me some insight into
their use, do you find them reliable, and availability? What are your views
on relying on the Pine pars to make adjustments to past performance
times of shippers?
I have looked at American Turf Monthly's Track Equalization Chart and
find it lacking. Given their name is American Turf you have to wonder if
these charts pertain only to turf tracks but I don't think so. In any event,
I find many of the values in their chart to be at significant odds with my
data base on track to track adjustments based upon, albeit limited,
observations.
