Almost all newspapers and news networks have political leanings, but anyone that says the overall bias is not to the left is either delusional or lying.

The reason a network like Fox does so well is that conservatives have so few options for news that's slanted in their direction, they all migrate to the same place. Liberals have so many options their market share is spread around between CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, Comedy Central, and so on. That also why conservative talk radio is so popular but most attempts at liberal talk radio fail. The demand is probably similar for both sides, but the supply is way smaller on the conservative side.
