What is going on here?

I've seen him lose at 2/5, 4/5, 1/2 and 1/5 odds the past two nights....short fields too. He used to be an automatic single in horizontals at those odds.....not anymore.

I was going to say I smell a rat when the top 4 finishers were
47/1, 10/1, 41/1, and 20/1
and no pool had a consolation payout.
