The angle is from just past the line. Not an entirely accurate photo.

Reminds me of the "Beholden" photo 2 yrs ago in the breeder's cup...you'll NEVER convince me she won that race...funny thing is...didn't even have a dime on the race...still....just hate total BS photo's ...:puke:

Years ago when I first started, it was with greyhounds. One the back of the programs at this particular track they had 3 drawn pictures of a photo finish titled " don't let the angle fool you.

The 3 pics where outside winning, dead heat and inside winning depending on the angle. Didn't take me long to wonder if they had 3 cameras and used the pic they wanted.

More fun from the Olympics. There was a clear timing error in the women's downhill- a medalist's splits went from "leading" to "more than a second down" to "leading" again, and NOBODY from Omega, which has had the timing contract since 1932, will admit a mistake was made. Sounds a LOT like horse racing.
