Got bigger with the Sean Miller news. Doubt he survives his job through tomorrow.

Having moved to Phoenix at about the age of 10, growing up there, attending college at ASU, and living and working in AZ for some 35 years before moving away in 2003...

I've always marveled at U of A's ability to consistently out-recruit arch rival ASU (much larger school) when it came to top basketball talent.

Ugh.

Probably another nothing burger.

An absolute joke that the Feds are involved in any of this, especially when you do the history and see their reasoning on how they should be, in any case.

No way this is nothing, but it will probably go away as too many rich people make tons of money on the backs of mostly lower and middle class kids.

The NCAA couldn't police any of the sports they have full financial and political control over, so the FBI is involved as there is a strong belief that there is "BIDDING" going on for certain top HS players and coaches are involved.

So? It's a private entity. Not in the Feds jurisdiction and the absolutely atrocious that they associate criminality and jail time potentially with it, what a joke. Their arguments as to why it even should be in the purview of the Feds is laughable.

The Feds didn't even go after Nifong in the Duke Lacrosse hoax, and he actually damaged very specific people literally on behalf of the University. Those kids has real standing.

You can't even get standing to make a judge decide on who's eligible to be on a presidential ticket. Who's got the standing for this one? A sports bettor of jamoke fan who watches games that inolve teams using "unfair" tactics? Laughable.

If wanting to find NCAAB corruption, I'd start with a forensic analysis on the financial and phone/text records of the Virginia Cavaliers team. Their loss Friday night sure busted up some office pool brackets. Might want to drill down into any winning wagers on the money line (+2000) for Maryland Baltimore County too.

Think they were simply looking ahead and forgot the job at hand. Once they allowed M/B a decent lead, M/B got excited and never looked back.
I recall back in the early 90's Texas Southern was 16th seed and Arkansas was #1. Razorbacks had to sink a 3 pointer as time ran out to keep from losing. People were shocked, Arkansas was that good, and went on to win the tournament in fashion.
Unusual indeed that Virginia took such a beating. I definitely believe though those kids are there to win. They simply got beat-up.
