I remember as a kid back in the 60's, he would buy blocks of time from one of the local TV stations , which I'm sure he did nationwide, and have his evangelical rallies usually from a big outdoor stadium or indoor colesium. He also served as an unofficial religious advisor to presidents like Eisenhower and Nixon. And long before it was accepted by much of mainstream America, he preached to racially integrated crowds at his events.

:rip: to a great man of the cloth, Billy Graham.

We should all strive to live a life as great as Dr. Graham. All he ever wanted was for people to gain a life full of love through God. He strove to share and encourage people to open their hearts and see what life could be.

When President Clinton was going through the Lewinsky scandal I remember Dr. Graham saying that we should ask God to forgive. Regardless of what I thought of Slick Willy these words kept repeating in my head.

Enjoy the fruits of heaven Billy, you were an Apostle on Earth.
