What happened to DC Lopez?

A few years ago he was winning every race as an apprentice at Golden Gate. He came to Southern California and started riding some for baffert. I believe he won a stakes race at Churchill downs for baffert. But I looked on equibase and he hasn't ridden since 2016. Did he get hurt?

He works a lot for Baffert in the mornings, seems like weight might be an issue for him.
