Cool story. Anyone ever see the movie Dark Horse? Just saw it the other day and i believe the people in the movie won this race. It's about a bar waitress in a mining town in England. She gets a bunch of bar and town patrons to ante up and they buy a broodmare then find a stallion. It deals with the ups and downs of ownership. Feel good. Rocky like the underdog does well. Actually it's almost more documentary than movie but I found it enjoyable. Hope I didn't hijack your thread.

Sounds like a good movie! Also, check out the movie "Champion". It's about the steeplechase jockey Bob Champion. (I think that's his name.) He battles cancer. There is some great steeplechase footage.

Don't worry about hijacking the thread. You're the only one to respond. :D
