Los Angeles mayor, Eric Garcetti, has openly defied Trump and been a vocal opponent of the #MAGA agenda. A mic.com article on Garcetti features such interludes as:

“We will defend any undocumented worker who’s going to be deported,” he said flatly in a recent interview. The words are backed up in deed: In December, Los Angeles unveiled an ambitious $10-million fund to provide legal counsel to residents facing deportation.

And this yo-yo and other libs out there are worried about 3 measly million the Feds are denying them? Seriously? They can't tap into that 10 mil slush fund for illegal aliens to support their own police department? Where is their sense of priority?

They applied for a competitive grant money and did not get it - there was only $98 million for the entire country.

I Agree. Politicians are about votes and re-election. Rest is fluff and deception. Governor Moon beam, Garcetti are publicity seekers. Until citizens wake up, it is downhill for LA and California.
