Turf rail at zero or out...

For those that keep records and/or create track profiles for turf courses. Is there that much of an impact on the temporary rail being out at specific distances or not? Or are the changes so minor that it does not factor much into altering your handicapping?

Absolutely. When rails are moved in or out, it changes the circumference of the course. The teletimer beams have to be in various locations to account for this. As a result, the run ups may vary greatly.
