"Well, first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying," Biden said. "Assault weapons are . . . I wrote the last serious gun control law that was written and was law for 10 years, and it outlawed assault weapons and it outlawed weapons with magazines that had a whole lot of bullets and so you can kill a whole lot of people a lot more quickly."

I think it came out of his mouth all wrong. I think that he was trying to refer to the old gun law and if it were still in effect neither the gunman nor Mr. Willeford would have had an assault weapon that day. Mr. Willeford is indeed a hero, though. No doubt about it !

The gunman still would have had it. Do you really think he would have not gone out and got an assault weapon if it were illegal? Cocaine and heroin are illegal but people still acquire it if they so desire.

I'm not making any a comment on what he said, whether the gunman would have been able to get his hands on an assault weapon anyway or not. I'm just thinking that it was what he was trying to get across to the woman who asked the question. Anything can be purchased by anyone at anytime these days with only half trying.

AR-15 style weapons were still legal during the ban. You just couldn't buy one with the really evil features like a folding stock or a bayonet mount.

It was also still legal to buy and sell pre-ban magazines that held 20 or more rounds, instead of the limit of 10 rounds for new ones made after the ban. There were only about a bazillion such mags around, and all that happened was the price went up for used.

I remember seeing him pawing at the little girls in the swearing in ceremony for the senate a few years ago - it would be appropriate for some of these young women to come forward and say they were molested by Joe a month before voting if he runs for president.

If Biden runs for president he will have to face this music. I doubt he will run given the current sexual harassment environment.

It's bad in the U.S. I can only imagine how bad it must be in other countries -- especially ones run by dictators.

I struggle with this often. I try to never be alone with a woman. I am a fat old man, but don’t need somebody, or one of our employees accusing me of something. Recently i had to take an employee to an ER in a hurry. I informed her that my dashcam records everything said inside my truck before we took off. She didn’t even blink....."ok" she said......

I recommend it......the dashcam
