Fats was in Vegas often when I was first going there in my late teens and early 20's. One regret is being unable to pry myself away from the card tables and sports books long enough to see him. His was one of the first albums I bought when I was 8. My mom was a teenager in the 50's (I was born in 61) I was introduced to his music by listening to my mom's 45 rpm record collection.

My favorite Fats Domino song is "So Long" there was a long version of that song on an album I bought almost a half century ago. Scouring the internet I can only find the 2 minute version. Rest in Peace Fats!

My father had an opportunity to play craps with Fats in Reno many years ago. He has memories of Fats having lots of bling and making very large bets.
