Maryland is one of the safest States in the Nation...per gun control. They need to enforce their laws and sentences.

What were some of his earlier sentences? How can it go this far.

He had several other convictions......it’s the enhancements that got him. On radio they said he actually plea bargained down five other DUI cases years back.

Looks like his prior convictions caught up with him or should I say the jury decided the community had had enough.

Isn't usually the judge who imposes the sentence? Sometimes it could just be statutes, but it is hard to imagine statutes being written for that many DUIs. I suppose it could be the jury imposing the sentence. Regardless, enough is enough. Being in prison will ensure that he does not kill anyone with a car.
