Between races 3 and 4 (around 1.15pm)

I could not make it down to Philly Park
Saturday I tied, believe me I really wanted to go
But In my real life I had to work. I tried to get in and done early
Just as I was about to leave my boss shows up with a bag of bagels
and a step ladder. Can you help me today? - Meant changing the
ceiling tiles in his new office. What a nightmare. Just a hot, messy
frustrating job. My tiles never went in right and of course his did
Anyway I guess it worked out. I was able to get home and clean up
then head over to the Meadowland just in time to watch Smarty
It really was sad
He looked like he was thinking "let me run" and when they were
I guess because the track was off they just walked him around the paddock then over to the winners circle
Then when they were walking Him back to barn #11 He really looked frustrated. He kept stopping
And his tail was showing anger. Then less and less people were along the rail. Finally it was just him and a few backstretch workers
and then it started to rain As he was let away all alone
He will always be loved down at Philly Park I don't blame the
owners. I would have done the same thing. They paid there dues
and they want him to be happy because of what he got them
It looked like a nice ceremony for Smarty I could only watch
the Video The Meadowland didn't provide any audio

It was just a sad way for me to have to say goodbye

Im sure you and lots of others felt the same way,ITS very sad when you have to say goodbye to anything,When I sell a horse to someone, I have to get someone to put them on the van..I Hate it, But its part of the game. One thing about it, They cant take away your memories.Any time you have a horse like him make you that kind of mony..IMO he is a great horse. He won the most coveted race inhistory, The Kentucky Derby, Doesnt matter about the rest?...Would love to send my filly to be his test mare
