Just have to make a comment about the race call last night.
This was a $132,000 race, and I know harness racing is next to dead by looking at the handle here in Alberta and no one is watching and no one cares. BUT, that had to be one of the worst race calls I have ever heard at Northlands Park or anywhere for that matter.
From a guy who is Assistant Manager/Track Announcer, inexcusable, 2 made a three wide move top of stretch and thought it was 3. 6 was making a move on outside down the stretch and he thought it was the 3. He corrected the name on the 6 past the wire. Nonetheless, it was an embarrassment.
Dread the thought he will move onto Century Mile once Northlands wraps up.
