Sam Houston Race #7:

:6: Franco 12-1 Late runner gets a good set up here. 3 for 6 lifetime, two wins vs Allowance company and has the ability figure wise to win here. If he can transfer his dirt form to the turf.

I wish you luck on this one Jay as I played a exacta key box using the :6: with the :4::7:.

If I were building tickets around a longshot here I'd consider either #2 Western Swing (15-1) or #9 Potomac River (8-1).

My two other contenders are #5 Runningfromthefeds (5/2) and #7 Hyper Drive (9/2)

(typo) Runningfromthefeds was #4 Not #5

Order of finish 9-4-7

#9 Potomac River (8-1) didn't go off anywhere close to his ML

Can you say bump.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Sat 12/14 Gulfstream Park Race #8:

:3: Perspire 20/1: Not much to see at first glance. 3 for 5 at the distance is a clue. The jockey change says something. Works keep getting better. Worth some $ in my opinion.

Why would the :11: and :3: not be coupled. Owned by Arindel, trained by Gold.

Makes me think one of them is a setup horse. I like the :4: to close well for a piece of the pie as well. Box all 3

Hadn't read this thread until now. Looked up the race on my playsheet and I hit that ex with a 4,11 box. Decent payback at $56 per click.
I thought this race was a tricky one to figure out, which I why I just played the ex and moved on. Kind of surprised me I hit it. Thought3,5, 8, 9, and 10 had a lot going for them. Can't play them all and make $ so I entered my ex and let it go at that. Turned out to be my 2nd best hit on the day.

Saturday Sam Houston. John B. Connally Turf Cup

:11: Sleepy Eyes Todd 6/1. Breeding does not scream 1 1/2 miles. Compare his pace figures to the favorite and they say different. Trainer gave him the same slow 6f work recently, just like before his last. Primed for a new top figure.
