They should raise takeout to make up for the difference, the higher purses (does not exist) is making a big difference so I am sure it will work.

House prices have shot up, mtg payment go up with that...vehicles bought now with 7 year payment...so majority of the people do not have extra cash to gamble. This does not include the southern part of San Francsicko, the Silicon
Valley crowd, they have $$$$, but it is only small % of the population that have money.
60 percent of the people have less than $1000 in the bank. ONLY 10-12% HAVE more than 10,000 in the bank.

I dont know if I misread the last article but handle is up almost 8%.

I had been glued to Saratoga but have been preparing for the winter by watching all del mar races and making notes and the one thing I said to myself was that these fields are certainly much higher than I recalled the past few seasons, and the numbers bear that out.
