Trump quietly getting it done
Indeed he is getting it done; destroying our country.
He has rescinded Obama's Clean Power Plan which encourage clean, renewable energy. Now coal companies are free to once again pollute at will. Which may be great for the two percent of the economy engaged in coal mining, but not so great for the rest of us.

He is no longer enforcing the Waters of the United States rule. As a result, you don't have to worry about whether that small lake in the woods you line to go to will be polluted. It will be.

As a result of Trump overturning the ban on drilling in the arctic, Trump is accelerating the demise of many native species. But that's okay. There are plenty of pictures of them on Facebook.

But Trump has not just reduced regulations. In some cases he has doubled down. If it concerns civil rights of the average person, you can be sure Trump is not for it. Use of Civil Asset Forfeiture has increased substantially. Low level drug offenses including possession will now receive the longest possible sentences-a boon for the private prison industry. There is a renewed effort to pass the most stringent voter suppression laws under the guise of preventing voter fraud. Fraud which is virtually non-existent. Finally the newly established Consumer Protection Bureau is being emasculated.

Yes, Trump is accomplishing many of the things he wished. God help us for that.

Do you think that in a federal payroll of over 2 million jobs, there wasn't enough fat to justify cutting 11,000?

A lot of it is probably through attrition, which I think is a good way to do it. If you generally freeze hiring, people are going to retire, leave, die etc.. If you't replace anyone other than for critical jobs you will slowly reduce the work force until it gets down the appropriate level.

No. Unless you want to make sure nobody ever audits a tax return; unless you want to make sure that companies can pollute if they prefer that option; hell, why would any conservative who considers himself deserving of endless tax cuts want to pay for Department of Justice lawyers and investigators?

The GOP has been cutting government jobs since Ronny woke up one morning and decided the government was public enemy #1. Now nobody is proud to have a government job. Except the military who are excluded from criticism because somebody has protect somebody else's stuff for them.

I guess that's all part of the master plan to make America great again.

Indeed he is getting it done; destroying our country. How so? Oh wait, the market dropped a couple of hundred points...that NEVER happened under Obama...

We're all doing just fine, thank you.

But keep disrespecting the office, like you scolded us for doing under Obama...just wait until the next Dem steps in there...

That's his problem, he will be dead and not around to see it happen.

For every new regulation, Trump said he would get rid of 2 existing one.

He lied.

It has been 65. :headbanger:

Obama's regs cost the country 240 billion. $6,000 for every worker.

Look that up in your Funk&Wagnels.

But keep disrespecting the office, like you scolded us for doing under Obama...just wait until the next Dem steps in there...the next democrat isn't going to turn out so good for this country. i like Al Gore a lot, but the way this country is heading the past 50 years, i smell big problems coming. i honestly think that Trump would have a better chance of getting us through the mess we will be in. i hope that he runs again and wins. i like what he has and hasn't done so far and more importantly the way he is doing it.
