Picks for Del Mar Saturday:
R2 #2 Cruisin Man-Battled gamely inside the dropping favorite in his last race. Has shown stalking ability in the past and gets a good post for the short run into the turn here. No name trainer/jock ensures a decent price.
R5 #7 Tricky Travis-Gets a huge barn upgrade as he runs first time off the claim for the hot Spawr. Has plenty of back class and should run better here against a field with a lot of question marks.
R7 #7 Last Time in Town-Made a move into a pretty hot pace first off a layoff in his last race. Gets Espinoza today, and the trainer/jock combo with him is outrageous. Looking for him to be a pace factor from the start.
R9 #5 New Age-Trainer excels at dirt/turf, sprint/route move. Breeding says he should like the stretchout/surface switch. Been training well in the am for this.
