John Gosden has an exceptional 3yo filly in Enable.

Hope some of you saw the Ascot race on TVG just now.
Pretty special performance.
Will post a replay link soon as I can.

Rated 128 on Timeform, surprised it wasn't higher the way she easily handled top class older males, including the reigning BC Turf champ.

Trainer said she's heading for the Arc after the Yorkshire Oaks

Looked like some seriously heavy ground. I saw Jack Hobbs and Highland Reel run in the Irish Derby two years ago. Of course i bet Highland Reel-oops. Highly recommend a day at the races at the Curragh if you ever get the chance.

Very impressive performance. Highland Reel didn't seem at his best, but it was still a deep field. Could be a filly on her way to superstardom.

Enable is due to run this Saturday in the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park.
UK bookmakers rate her a 6/5 chance - no slam dunk.
The 10 furlong trip is shorter than her best, and she will need the race.
Still, she is so classy it's hard to see her being beaten.

Thanks for the heads up. I might have missed this race due to the many weekend festivities I'm doing but now will slot this in.

Her win against Magical in the BC Turf was a cliff hanger and they're gonna go at it again. Fingers crossed!

Winning the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe twice, at this point, Enable has nothing more to prove though.

I'm interested in seeing how Telecaster runs here. Last one was a head scratcher.

Some breeders really know how to "make a horse". ;) Prince Khalid Abdullah has quite the band of broodmares---- how many outfits can breed a Frankel, Enable, Empire Maker, etc.

It was only close due to the group tactics of the O'Brien runners and jocks.

shes tons better than Magical on her best

and the Betfair odds reflect that

enable sitting at 2.02 (evens)

Magical at 6.6 (5-1)

And won at even weights as both her and magical were carrying 130.

That makes her 11 for 12 lifetime.
Probably in the Euro Top 10 of all time.

Amazing.

I still don't think we've seen her best. (Yeah, I know how easily ridiculously easy that comment was, and how really really good she could/can be). :headbanger:

An even more absurd comment, could Bricks and Mortar stretch out to take her on in the BC Turf?

If she pulls off the Arc and BC again the statues should go up quickly.

John Gosden quoted as saying that he felt Enable was 85-90% fit.
I'm sure there are those on here who might dispute that, but it's the truth.
The man is an undisputed authority on the subject.

"It's been a long preparation and she's only started coming to herself in the last two weeks. Quite frankly she's come here at 85%, maybe 90, and in the last furlong I was concerned," winning trainer John Gosden told ITV Racing.

Not sure where all these will wind up next, but if they all show up in the King George along with the recently returned Magical (who looked like she's progressed beyond being Enable's whipping girl) and a good 3yo or two, we'll have the Race of the Year (or at least a stronger race than the much ballyhooed 2020 Oaklawn Handicap).

The step-up to 12 furlongs in that race might shake up the form a bit, too.

Decent effort off a long layoff, however, it's a race she'd have won in previous years.
Maybe she's lost a step, but that is hard to judge running 10 furlongs.

I'd rather see all the principles head to the King George, but in order to answer the question about losing a step, I'd be curious to see a match up between Enable and Magical in the near future.

Obviously Europe always produces the top grass routers, but the depth of the division the last few years has been amazing. Even if Enable has lost a step, she's still the Roger Federer of a great group of horses.
