Taxing success

I am surprised that nobody has commented on this and also one other item that is viewable the article. The tax issue is probably going to eventually be decided by the Washington State Supreme Court. Although I agree that the tax is illegal and should not be allowed to happen, there is no telling what the court will rule. They are a very liberal lot. A secondary, but important issue to me, is that the tax increase is supposed to pay for things that there are already taxes in place to pay for. What will they really do with this money. What about the taxes that are already paid? I think that this is a bad deal, but really don't think it will fly. Okay, I have one other comment about the tax: I find it ironic that the Washington State Republican Party is calling for civil disobedience regarding the tax. Republicans are not exactly a civil disobedience organization. I suppose that like liberals, they will disobey the law if something resonates with them. In this case, it is money.

As for the other item linked in the article, Seattle seems to have itself a serious sexual deviant as it's mayor.

Murray's strategy is to deny, deny, deny. Sometimes when there is smoke, there is fire.

Taxing success

The tax, passed by the Seattle City Council, targets high-income earners as part of what local lawmakers call “a new formula for fairness.”

Snowflake syndrome runs big here, since the concept of a flat tax must be unfair.

Theft via .gov proxy, pure and simple.

"Why do you rob banks?", Billy Sutton was asked...to which he famously replied, "I rob banks, because that's where the money is". I think Seattle is using the same logic.

When you are in need of money...you can't go looking for it where it ain't.
